Dominic is survived by his wife of 41 years Joni St.Clair Foti; his daughter Jena Marie Foti LeVay; his son Christopher Joseph Foti; his son-in-law Joshua LeVay; his grandchildren Connor LeVay, Cassandra LeVay, and Judah LeVay; his sister Mica Foti Landry. He was preceded in death by his father Dominic Clarence Foti, Sr., D.D.S. and his mother Marie Vessier Foti.
Dominic was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was raised in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School in Donaldsonville, Louisiana; attended Loyola University New Orleans, Louisiana; a graduate of Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana; and a graduate from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dominic completed his Internship in Denver, Colorado and completed his residency as a board-certified surgeon in Ears, Nose, & Throat/Head Neck Surgery in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then went on to complete his residency as a board-certified surgeon in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He practiced Plastic Surgery in Colorado Springs for 29 years and worked with Operation Smile performing Cleft Palate surgeries on young children in the Philippines.
No memorial service or funeral is planned, as he did not wish to have services. Dominic requested cremation and wished to have his ashes spread later at one of his favorite spots surrounded by his immediate family. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in his honor to Operation Smile.
