David was born on October 29th, 1944 to Jack and Jeanne (Nicholson) Majors in Hailey, Idaho.
David was an Army Dependent, and lived in such locales at Binghamton, NY, Okinawa, Monterrey, CA, and Schweinfurt, Germany. David joined the United States Army after High School, and after graduating from Officer Candidate School, was stationed in Pirmasens, Germany. It was in Pirmasens where he met Brigitte Zeigler, who he married on May 31, 1968. David and Brigitte celebrated their 42nd year of marriage earlier this year.
During David’s eight years of service in the Army, he was stationed in Korea, Illinois, Germany, and spent a year in Vietnam in which he was a company commander with the 25th Infantry Division.
After receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1972, David settled with his family in Colorado Springs, where he graduated from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. For over 12 years David worked in the Mobility Business, ten of those years as the co-owner of Mobility Plus Mini Vans, in which he brought much joy and independence to physically challenged community of Colorado.
David was an avid golfer, a Porsche enthusiast, and was an amazing cook. David was a loving and devoted husband, a wonderful father, a brother who was always there for his siblings and brought many a laugh to family, friends, and loved ones.
He leaves behind his wife, Brigitte; his son, Mark; his brother, Michael; and his three sisters, Lisa, Sandy, and Kristine.
David is preceded in death by his father, Jack Majors, his mother, Jeanne Selland, his mother-in-law Wilhelmina Jacobs, and stepfather Glen (Red) Selland.Memorial services will be held at Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80918 on Wednesday, December 8th, at 10AM.
