David is survived by his wife Pamela Dees (Skinner); his children Richard Dees and Allison Valin, and his grandson Jaxson.
David was born in Dallas, TX on January 22, 1947 to Virginia Caudle Dees and Claude Allen Dees. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and North Texas University with a business degree. He also received a Masters degree from East Texas State University. David married the love of his life on March 2, 1982.
David had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed photography, off road jeeping and exploring the mining history around Ouray, Colorado. David had a keen interest in history and was an avid collector of antique cameras and mining equipment, and World II memorabilia.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Chapel of Memories in Colorado Springs, CO. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX. A fund is being set up in David’s name that will benefit the research on paraganglioma cancer.
