David was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1941. He attended St. Louis University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1963 and Doctorate of Medicine degree in 1967. He was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor fraternity and completed a one year surgical internship. From 1968-1971, David volunteered to serve as a captain in the United States Air Force in Okinawa, Japan and became the medical director of the NAHA AFB. Following his tour of service, he finished his psychiatry residence at the University of Oklahoma and was a fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry. In 1976, David established a private psychiatric practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he practiced medicine for 52 years.
David is survived by his wife of 58 years, two wonderful sons, and their wives. His greatest joy later in life were his three grandchildren.
