Dana Jo Rodesky was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 12th, 1962 to Donald and Elanor Catanzaro. Growing up she always loved staying active, whether it was playing softball, going to the gym, or her passion for the art of dance. She also enjoyed attending rock concerts, and watching her older brother Drew play the drums in his own band.
In the fall of 1982, she attended Wright State University and soon fell in love with the man who would become her lifelong husband, Scott Rodesky. They met each other through their mutual love of fitness, both working at Gold’s Gym in Dayton, Ohio. Shortly after graduation, Dana landed a job as a financial analyst and Scott became a member of the United States Air Force. His career would take them around the world together.
Dana was known as an extremely hard worker with the utmost integrity and strength of character. Her compassion and love of Christ was apparent to all those who met her, including in the raising of her son Ryan, who came into her life June 7th, 1992. She poured everything she had into raising and teaching him the love of Jesus.
Her kindness would continue throughout her life, always helping those in need. She would minister to coworkers, family members, even complete strangers to whom she felt a call to lend a helping hand.
Dana would stay positive and loving through a decades long battle with illness, before finally leaving to be with her Heavenly Father on July 22nd, 2023. She is survived by her husband and son, as well as all the lives that she touched throughout her life. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
