Connie Mary Jaeger beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on July 3, 2019. She was born on August 12, 1924 in Hastings, NE to Benjamin J. and Magdalena V. Norton. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Clarence, by her parents, sister Virginia, and brother Jerry.
Connie attended schools in Fairbury NE and after high school continued on to college at The University of Nebraska, where she majored in music.
Connie met and later married Clarence Jaeger of Salem Oregon and they celebrated 55 years before Clarence's death in 2008.
Connie's greatest pleasures in life were her family, friends, traveling, volunteering, and reading. She loved spending time with her canasta friends and her Red Hats. When Connie was younger she was an excellent skier and a member of the Colorado Ski Patrol.
Connie was a member of numerous organization, however she found her "true calling" by volunteering, and was a member of the Auxiliary at Memorial Hospital. She volunteered for 35 Years and earned over 19,000 hours. She was a 3 time President of the Auxiliary. Connie served on the Hospital Board of Trustees and was a past President of The Colorado Association of Health Care Auxiliary and Volunteers. She also served on the State Board.
Connie is survived by 2 daughters Lisa (Don) Fleischauer of Colorado Springs, and Lori (Joe) Nunke of Central Texas. 2 Grandchildren and 1 Grand dog. Lee Fleischauer of Colorado Springs, Sarah (David) Maples of Surprise, AZ, Dee-o-gee of Central Texas. 3 Great Grandchildren Michael Fleischauer of Colorado Springs, Jaxon and Jordan Maples of Surprise AZ.
A private memorial Service will be held at a later date.
