Christina was born on June 4, 1957 in Erfenbach, Germany to Lester F and Irma Anderson. Her dad was a career soldier so she spent her early years moving with each new assignment, mostly in Germany. The family moved to Colorado Springs permanently in 1974 when he retired from the Army.
Christina graduated from Palmer High School in Colorado Springs in 1975. That year she met her future husband, Antonio “Tony” Ware and they were married in May 1980 at the US Air Force Academy. Tony was in the Air Force so she now followed him from duty station to duty station as a dependent wife.
Christina and Tony had 3 children, Brandy, Chantel and Shane. Chantel passed away shortly after her birth in 1983.
Once her children were grown Christina went back to school and earned diplomas as a Certified Medical Assistant and later as a Phlebotomist.
Christina will be fondly remembered for her gentle nature, her quick wit and her infectious laughter. She was always upbeat and never complained about anything. She was a giving person and always put others needs ahead of her own.
Christina was preceded in death by her daughter, Chantel Laura, her father, Lester F Anderson Sr. and her faithful companions, George and Bailey.
Christina is survived by her mother, Irma Anderson; her husband, Tony Ware; her children, Brandy Bongibault and Shane Ware; her grandchildren Gerald, Kaleb and Marissa; her faithful companion, Buddy; her siblings, Elnora Harding, Diana Anderson, Lester Anderson Jr (Rici) and Walter Anderson (Tricia) as well as many nieces and nephews and her cousins, Shawn Scott of NYC and Claudia Brosi of Germany.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in Christina’s name.
