After a long hard-fought battle with COPD, Chuck went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 16, 2017. Born to Junior and Hazel Shackelford on April 7th 1942 at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs.
Chuck’s biggest passion is his family and friends and making sure that their needs were taken care of first, over his own.
Chuck worked for most of his adult life in the concrete business and was very proud to be part of R. E. Monks construction for over 30 years.
He is survived by Karen Sue, his wife of 54 years, Daughter VeAnn Brown-Torres, Son Daniel G. Shackelford (Mary), Granddaughters, Sarah Boswell (Chris), Jodi Casida (Clifton), Grandson, Jamason Brown-Torres, Great Granddaughter, Lily Boswell and Sister Helen Montoya (Max).
He is preceded in passing by both Parents and a Son Boyce G. Brown and Son-in-law Sydney Torres.
Chuck will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins along with countless friends he considered family.
Services to be held at Sunnyside Christian Church on Friday July 28th at 12pm with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
