Charles H. “Hal” Lairmore was born in Boone County Arkansas, near Harrison on Nov. 18, 1934.
He was preceded in passing by his parents Edward and Clara Lairmore, his wife of 60 yrs, Christine, daughter Pamela Snow and a sister, Norma Jean Williams.
Hal served in the US Army for 23 years, serving in numerous overseas areas including Germany, Korea, Alaska and Vietnam.
Hal earned the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal, two American Defense Service Medals, two Army Commendation Medals, 6 Vietnam Cross of Gallantry Medals, the Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, the Expeditionary Medal and Meritorious Service Medal.
Hal is survived by a son, Michael, two grandsons, 3 granddaughters and two great grandsons. Hal worked for 17 years for the Broadmoor Hotel and later for the Hampton Inns and Roadway Inns.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 10, 217 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, with Funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m.
