Catherine Rose Pennock passed away on March 21st. She was born in Elbert, Colorado to Alfred and Maude Cox on August 6th 1922. She lived the past 38 years in Florissant, Colorado. She is survived by her son, Tom Lester and wife, Pat of Pueblo, Colorado, grandchildren, Rodney Elliot of Florissant, Renee Garcia and husband, Sal of Van Buren, Arkansas, Steven Dell’Aria and wife, Christy of Montgomery, Alabama and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Betty Brackin and husband, John of Colorado Springs and Dorothy Engle and husband, Elmer of Colorado Springs. She married Darvin Lester in 1942. He passed away in 1966. She married Joseph Pennock in 1970, he passed away in 2005. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Her daughter, Karen Strauss of Florissant passed away on March 23th, 2012, two days following her mother’s death.
Catherine liked to quilt and enjoyed watching the wildlife around her home in Florissant. She collected cookie jars and music boxes.
She will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
