Carol Sielsky passed away peacefully at her home September 15, 2022 after an extended battle with cancer. She was born July 28, 1938 in Newark, Ohio to Charles (Dean) Stauffer and Ruth (Mabel Arrington) Stauffer. Carol and her former spouse, Richard Bausman, moved to Colorado Springs with 3 young kids, 1 cat and 1 dog. She worked a few years at Sears as an interior designer and then went on to retire as a medical secretary.
She liked Colorado and never wanted to go back to Ohio so after her divorce she stayed and finished raising her teenagers. A few years later she met and married Tony Sielsky. They lived in the Village Seven area for nearly all of their 41 years together.
Carol was a people person and loved her ladies lunches with the Sears group and other friends. She truly missed not being able to attend those lunches as her illness worsened and talked about those special friends frequently. In addition to her friends and family she loved to dance, work crossword puzzles and watch people and animal medical shows on TV.
Carol leaves behind her husband of 41 years, Tony Sielsky, her sister Janet ("Susie") Marquis, her son Dean Bausman (Irene), daughter Christie (Bill), and daughter Barbara Henderson (Michael), grandkids Donnie, Jack, Megan, Hannah, and Andrea, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew. There are also a number of "adopted" kids and grandkids that come from having blended families.
Celebration of life services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:00 at Mountain View Mortuary 2350 Montebello Square Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 followed by a reception from 2:00 to 4:00.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MtViewMortuary.com for the Sielsky family.
