A lifelong resident of the Westside of Colorado Springs, Carl Aldaz, 50, entered into eternal rest in the presence of his lord on January 24, 2011 with his family and friends at his side.
He was born in Monte Vista, CO to Alfred F. and Amelia C. Aldaz who survive. He grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Coronado High School. Carl grew up one of eight siblings and is preceded in death by his brother Dennis and sister Edith and is survived by Carla his twin, Nadine, Leonard, Frieda, and Jeanine. More than anything else, Carl loved the children in his life and will be missed by his three children Sabrina Grimaldo of Colorado Springs, Chris Martinez of Seattle, WA, and Alex Martinez of San Antonio, TX, four grandchildren, Mariah, Frankie, JoJo, Emma, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Carl was a strong, caring man of faith that enjoyed life to the fullest. He could always be counted on to brighten a darkened day, help those in need, and to crack a joke that would keep his friends laughing until they cried. Some of his favorite things were his ’68 Chevelle, the Denver broncos, the Colorado Buffs, supporting his nephews and nieces in sports, and living every moment that he was given.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 28, 2011 at Swan Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade Ave. from 2:00 pm-5:00pm. A rosary will be read Friday evening at 7:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2020 West Colorado Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1000 South 26th Street, Colorado Springs. Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue is handling all arrangement.
