friend, passed into the Lord's care at home on March 5, 2017
with his wife of 30 years, Shirley (DeBlaey) Tyler and long
time friend Sal Steinberg at his side.
He was born in Ohio in February 1954 to Marjorie Ann
(Kessack) and Gordon H Tyler, both who preceded him.
After graduating high school in Maryland, he briefly attended
college and then started working in the computer technology
field. He started on the east coast and then traveled to
California, then Houston and on to Colorado Springs. He
wrote programs for SkyLab, Pioneer and other space
programs, clinical informatics, telecommunications, digital
media and data management. He held positions of Manager,
Deputy Division Manager, and Director of Business Develop-
ment. His management strategies and mentorship motivated
and transformed human beings and world technologies. He
was described by friends as not only a brilliant theorist and
futurist but also a poetic writer. Brad retired from Onstream
Media as their Chief Technology Officer in 2010.
Brad is survived by his wife, his sons Andrew and David, both
of Fort Collins and his siblings Geoffrey Tyler, Douglas Tyler
and Laura Albright.
Brad loved to hike and photograph the State and National
Parks along with his family. He taught his sons to love and
respect the natural world. He also gave his boys a passion for
reading and for the pursuit of knowledge. He worked with
the Boy Scouts and was proud of his two Eagle Scouts. He
enjoyed riding the horses at the Colorado Springs
Therapeutic Riding Center and volunteering his time with the
children with disabilities and photographing events for the
Center. He loved birding with family and friends and opened
them to a world of songs.
Visitation will take place at Swan-Law March 9 from 4 to 7
PM. Funeral services will be on March 10 at 1:00 PM at
Cragmor Christian Reformed Church. Private burial will take
place at Evergreen Cemetery, Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Colorado
Springs Therapeutic Riding Center or the Prostate Cancer
Foundation.
