Barbara Ann Hamilton Walker, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 12, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born April 21, 1934 in Decatur, Illinois to the late John and Iva Hamilton.
Barbara was employed by several different physicians in the Decatur area as a medical assistant. She had been a member of the Jayettes in Mt. Zion, Illinois.
Barbara and her husband, Haven moved to Colorado Springs in 1992 to be near family. She enjoyed many activities and hobbies, included were bowling, quilting, knitting, crafting, china painting and giving lessons in her home on rug hooking. Her favorite activity was loving her family and spoiling her grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Haven L. Walker; devoted son, Kim Bradley Walker and his wife, Sue; a daughter-in-law, Deon Jaye of Madison, Wisconsin and two beautiful grandchildren, Nolan John and Averi Marie Walker. She was preceded in death by her son, John Louis Walker and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Marie Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Pikes Peak Hospice.
A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., Swan Law Cascade Chapel, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
