Barbara was a native of Colorado Springs attending Steele Elementary, North Junior High and Colorado Springs High School (now Palmer High School). She and her sister Melba played the accordion professionally and preformed around the community for years.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, playing golf and skiing with her sister. Together they traveled and skied resorts all over the world. As a member of the Broadmoor Golf Club, she enjoyed the challenges of playing a demanding course and the fellowship of sharing the experience with her father and sister. Barbara spent the majority of her working career with the Federal Government at the former NORAD headquarters in the Chidlaw Building as an Executive Secretary. After a successful career, she joined her mother and Melba in the day to day operations of their longtime family business, Dytri and Cimino Liquors in the Old North End.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by three younger sisters, Melba, Marlene, and Sharon. She is survived by numerous cousins and family members. All will miss her dearly.
The family would like to thank New Century Hospice and the loving caregivers from Gentle Shepard for their tender care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Catholic Church on April 8, 2021 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
