Art Bruening was born to Larry & Agnes Bruening on March 2nd, 1951 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a true Colorado native and loved the west side of Colorado Springs, as well as the rich mining history across the state. After his retirement and 30 years of service with the City of Colorado Springs Utilities, he decided to follow his true passion, fast cars! He pursued a career in the racing industry and found his family away from family while working with PPIHC Association, CHCA Association, and IMSA Racing.
Art is survived by his daughter, Tracy Iorio, grandsons, Zachery Holcombe and Jordan Moore, his granddaughter Baylee Hanson, and his beautiful soulmate and partner in crime, Jill Moore.
Anyone that knew Art knew that he was a good man of honesty and integrity. He was an amazing father and grandfather, 2nd to none! He was a best friend, reliable comrade, and a lover of history, animals, rock hounding, and race cars. He will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts.
