Arshad Iqbal, age 66, returned to his heavenly home on February 9, 2022. He has fought a good fight, finished his course, and kept his faith. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Arshad was born to the late Barkat Masih and Suriyya Begum, a Tahsildar (revenue officer) and homemaker respectively, in Pakistan on July 15, 1955. He earned a Master's degree in English and worked as an Assistant Director in an Agricultural Development Bank in Pakistan.
Arshad was blessed with a large and loving family. He married Altica Khurshid Alam, on December 4, 1981 in Pakistan. Arshad helped raise his four children with patience, discipline, and humility. From the very beginning, he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the Gospels.
Arshad is survived by his loving wife, Altica; his sons Raheel, Waqar, Adeel, and Naveed Arshad; his grandchildren Hania and Elijah Adeel, Eric, Ashriel, and Arieanna Raheel; and his brother, Zafar, Akhtar, Nasar Iqbal; and his sisters, Nargis, Riffat, Iffat, and Tallat Sultana.
He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Farhat and Nighat Sultana; his parents; and his brother, Iqbal Masih.
We know that God is pleased to have one of His kind and generous angels back in his arms, where he belongs. He will be sorely missed by those on earth. A prayer service for Arshad will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Memories for his friends and family to pay their respects. Pastor Michael Masih will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery at 1 P.M.
The family respectfully declines flowers and donations; but prayers, condolences, and memories are gladly accepted.
