Anthony was born on February 14, 1960, grew up in Security, Colorado, and graduated from Widefield High School in 1978. He worked for the City of Colorado Springs for 21 years. In the 90s, he was on the Rocky Mountain region AWWA champion pipefitters team, which went on to travel to National competitions, consistently placing in the top five. He later formed the successful hauling and trucking business AV&M, LLC with family members.
Anthony lived a life devoted to God, family, and friends. Prone to adventure, he enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing, the love of which was passed down to him by his parents, Robert and Margaret Vigil.
After being born again by the word of God, nothing was more important to him than the search for truth and salvation through Jesus Christ and sharing it with others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Vigil, his older brother Johnny Vigil, and his younger sister Anna Vigil.
He is survived by his grateful children, Shane Vigil and his wife Lou, and Nicole Montenegro (Vigil) and her husband Alejandro, two grandchildren, Brandon, and Idamei Montenegro, older sister Roberta Vigil, younger sister Teresa Martin (Vigil) and her husband Joe, younger brother Danny Vigil and his wife Sara, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be hosting a Wake at Western Omelette on 10/05 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the address : 16 S Walnut Street, Colorado Springs, CO, 80905.
