My sister, Annette, was an extraordinary woman.  She developed unique relationships with everyone she knew, remembering every detail of their lives, always interested and inquisitive, regardless of her own circumstances.  She adored her children, Stefan and Hannah and her 3rd child "Boo" (the pooch).  Annette could be wild and wacky, serious and analytical; she would gob-smack you if you needed it (I often did).  Never at a loss for words, Annette had a tremendous sense of humor that was insightful and delightful. She was a talented journalist.  I admired her courage in the face of adversity, including a long illness. She was a fierce advocate for her children and extended family. My own loss over losing Annette can never be described.  She was my best friend, a loyal and devoted sister.

Very sad to have received this news. We will remember Annette as a smart, lively, beautiful woman. We had a great time working together at Channel 5 - and will never forget Annette's dedication and hard work. Our prayers will be with family and friends - may God comfort you all during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Annette's family. I was hired by Annette at UCCS and she was the most honest, fun-loving, fiercely loyal, and talented supervisor I have ever had. Always beautiful and always smiling no matter how tough her circumstances were. She always lit up the room when she talked about her kids.I will always have fond memories of her.

Annette, my daughter. It has been my privilege to raise you, encourage and nuture you, and walk beside you during your good and hard times. Your courage is inspirational, and your wit, beauty and intellect incomparable. I love you with all my heart, and promise to be with your children. You are now one of God's Angels in His presence.

Our dear Annette was a blessing to her parents and siblings from the day she was born. After attending her graduation from the University of Colorado I told her how proud I was of her achievement and that she had a brilliant career in front of her. Her TV Journalism portrayed a woman of great intelligence, wit and wisdom beyond her years. The years of suffering that followed due to a severe illness deeply affected everybody who knew her. Our Heavenly Father finally decided to take her home and now, released from all her suffering, she smiles over the battlements of heaven as only she can in the joy of eternal life. The pain of bereavement is intense especially for a parent who loses a child. But even here "we are more than conquerors in Christ Who loved us."

We will always remember Annette as a beautiful child.  We have not seen her since she was a child but we remember her well as we remember all her siblings and her parents.  Our hearts go out to each one of the Heller family at this sad time.  We pray the comfort of the Lord Jesus will comfort each of the family as only He can comfort. You will be missed so much Annette.  You gave me pep talks when you were in so much pain yourself.  I will miss your bright upbeat voice.

The first time I met Annette I clearly remember thinking, wow this lady is beautiful, talented and gifted.  She was extremely intelligent, generous and kind.  I was lucky to have married her sister, Yvonne and proud to have Annette as my sister-in-law.  I would often call her with questions while studying at Gonzaga University. She would always know the answer, was willing to help and was clearly superior intellectually.  She will be sorely missed by those that knew her well.  She clearly demonstrated, throughout her life, how she truly believed in making this world a better place for others. May God bring her family and friends peace during this difficult time.

Annette, you were always a loving sister, a best friend, an incredible mother, and one of my life's heroes.  I will always know you as one of the most incredibly strong, brave, intelligent, articulate people in the world.  I love you dear sister and miss you every day.  Your loss has been crushing to my heart, but I know you are free of pain and with God, so I'll see you again.  I promise to love your kids forever, just as I promised to you before you left us.  May you now know peace and happiness, a life free of pain and suffering.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Though I had lost touch with her my memories of Annette will be of a good friend and a great co-worker who brought order to the chaos of a TV newsroom and kept a sense of humor even in times of stress.
