Ann M. Menzel
Ann was born and raised in Dubuque, IA. She moved to Colorado in the mid 50’s and worked with the team building the Air Force Academy. She later transferred to Civil Service and retired in 1987. Ann loved gardening and prided herself for having a beautiful lawn and flower beds. She enjoyed bowling, the Broncos, Cripple Creek (but only when she was winning), and feeding peanuts to the squirrels.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Louise Menzel. Her sister, Geraldine Vogt, and brother, Merle Menzel. Her loving companion, for almost 50 years, Richard Hagan.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph Menzel, Jr. Special friends Fran Stallard, Laura Loveless, Donna Jones, their spouses, and kids. Her dog, Kiley. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We would like to thank the staff at Bear Creek Senior Living memory care and Interim hospice for taking such good care of Ann.
A small private service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak region.
