Angelio DeHerrera

Angelio (lovingly known as “Pampo” by his family) exhibited a profound commitment to his family and his strong faith was the cornerstone of his life. His family will long remember his willingness to drop everything to help someone in need; his sacrificial and Godly love for his wife and kids; how he’d offer great advice on life, family and how to fix your car; his steadfast work ethic; his joy in picking up his guitar and playing a song or talking on the phone with one of his siblings, kids or his best friends from his band The Sonics; his ready laughter that would shake his whole body; the way he could tell the best stories and jokes, complete with sound effects and seemingly unimportant details; his gentle and steady presence; his consistent reply of ‘I love you more’; and how his quiet faith sustained him throughout life’s challenges. His family commits to honor his memory by continuing his legacy of devotion, generosity and loving whole-heartedly and selflessly.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Mildred, who he loved deeply and faithfully until his last breath, as well as his devoted children, Angelia and her husband Rick, David and his wife Holly, and Michael and his wife Holly. His legacy also includes his cherished grandchildren, Lauren (and his spouse, Audrey), Isaac (and his spouse, Isabel), Cristoval, Jacob, Matthew, Hannah, Emma, Abby (and her spouse, Trey), Ella, and Liam; as well as his great-grandchild, Raelyn Lee. He is also survived by his siblings, Christina (and her spouse, Rob), Nadine, and Rudy (and his spouse, Julia).

The family invites loved ones to join them in celebrating Angelio's life at a memorial service to be held at The Summit Center at Mountain Springs Church, located at 7345 Adventure Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80923. The service will occur on Saturday, the 29th of June, at 10:30 AM. A light lunch will be served after the service.

His family and friends will come together to remember him and pay their respects to a man who brought so much love and light into their lives. Angelio's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Angelio will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
