MSgt. Alvin B. Fay, 91, of Colorado Springs passed away November 3, 2018. Alvin was known best to his friends and family as “Oldman” or “Alf”.
Alvin was born on April 2, 1927 to Lawrence A. Fay and Marion R. Lincoln Fay in Framingham, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and joined the United States Air Force in 1948. He loved working on military aircrafts with the Strategic Air Command. He loved being in the Air Force so much, he stated he wished he could of stayed in for another 20 years, if he was able, he retired in 1960.
Upon his retirement he worked at Falcon Air Cargo. He shared many silly stories with his friends and family of the days he spent working there.
Later on in life he started to repair dart machines. This lead to Alvin playing darts in various bars throughout Colorado Springs. He became a two-time world champion dart player.
Alvin loved the Denver Broncos and playing golf.
His family recalls that he always did things his way. He lived the life he wanted, his way and on his terms.
Alvin is survived by his daughter, Cindy; grandchildren: Windie and Chad; five great-grandchildren; and his long time best friend, Lynda.
A memorial service will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. At 5:00 p.m. there will also be a celebration of life at Robin Hood, 2830 N Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Alvin’s name may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation--Colorado Chapter
