Alice Gerhart

Alice J. Gerhart beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on October 13, 2011 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Peru, Indiana, December 7, 1931 to the late Clifford and Helen Jones.

Alice graduated from Purdue University with a degree in English and Journalism in 1953. After graduation, she was the editor of a trade magazine, taught school and wrote commercials for KRDO Radio in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was actively involved in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and P.E.O. She loved to travel, play bridge and spend time with family.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, Neil R. Gerhart, loving children, Jeff (Vicki) Gerhart of Monument, Colorado, Judy Gerhart of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her grandchildren, Breanne, Ashley and Madison.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 219 East Bijou, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
