Alan F. Spector, 82, passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado on November 25, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
Alan was born in Orange, Connecticut to George and Ann Spector on March 26, 1933. He and his family relocated to Colorado Springs in 1966. Alan graduated from college on the bootstrap program while in the Army and continued to be a lifelong learner receiving a master’s degree to become a licensed clinical psychologist. Alan made a career in the Army then continued on to join the Civil Service, serving our Nation for over 44 years.
Alan is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Spector, whom he met in Bordeaux, France, in 1953; sons, David and Gregory; Daughter,
Tamara ; grandchildren, Ryan, Jimmy and Hannah; step-grandchildren, Dane and Dale; Sister, Sonya Lee (Sunny) Spector and many friends.
Alan was known for his incredible sense of humor and always had a joke to share with anyone he came across. He loved the movies, photography, and especially music of the big band era and jazz greats.
A gathering will be held at Swan Law funeral home on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
With interment to follow at Fort Logan National cemetery, Tuesday December 1, 2015 2pm.
