Agnes Pauline McCumber

Agnes Pauline McCumber passed away Sunday, Jan 11, following a short illness. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Little Chapel of the Hills in Divide, with internment at the Divide Cemetery.

Agnes was born September 27, 1917, to Daniel and Elva Mae Metheny at their home near Calhan, Colorado.

She moved with her parents to a ranch north of Divide, Colorado, when she was eight months old and remained a resident there until two years ago when she moved into an assisted living facility in Colorado Springs.

She attended school in Divide through eighth grade. She lived in and attended high school in Manitou Springs, graduating there in 1933 at age 16.

She married Frank McCumber on November 12, 1938. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother Verl.

Survivors include three children: Robert (Edna); Carol (Larry); Daniel (Connie); eight grandchildren- Tracy; Scott (Cynthia); James (Lisa); Robin, Marlena (Ken); Kim (Marcus); Dustin (Trisha) and Mindy as well 12 great and seven great great grandchildren.
