He was born on September 15, 1925 in Long Beach, CA. He married the love of his life, Earlene Lorette in 1949 and had 70 years of being very happily married.
Jerry was a true extrovert, interested in all people so never knew a stranger in his whole life. His 30 year career at the CIA allowed his family to live all over the US & in Germany. He served in the Navy during WWII as a Radio Man.
He was an avid outdoor person and loved fishing, hunting and hiking. He was a long distance runner all his life and graduated from Stanford University on a track scholarship, where he earned his degree in Sociology and later earned a Masters in Security at Oklahoma University.
He is survived by his wife Earlene Herman and his children, Linda Herman and Lawrence Herman, grandchildren Michael Wisner, Alicia Wisner and Elizabeth DiFede, great grandchildren Layla King, Logan DiFede and Andrew Wisner, as well as several nieces & nephews.
