She was born in Allamoore, Texas on August 25, 1938 to Doss and Gladys Gatliff Pedigo.
Wanda was a hard-working Christian woman who believed in looking for the good in everybody, even when others cannot see it. She was a good mother and grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. People in Colorado City and the surrounding areas would remember her from her time serving as a jailer in the Mitchell County Jail, as a beautician, or as a substance abuse counselor for TDCJ, which she exceptional at. In her spare time when she was not working or spending time with her family Wanda enjoyed taking care of rescue animals, especially dogs. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Wanda is survived by a son Joe Laws and wife Diane of Keller, Texas, a daughter Pennie Lewis and husband J.D. of DeBary, Florida, 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and by a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Doss and Gladys Pedigo, by a son Stephen Laws, and by her siblings.
Services are private at the discretion of the family.
