Peggy Jo Kemp was born in Hallsville, TX April 19th, 1929 to the late Perry Hall Bowles and Alma Boyce Campbell. The time she became truly alive was on March 16th, 2017. Peggy was a long time member of the 1st Baptist Church in Colorado City. She enjoyed being an artist but most of all she was a devoted wife and mother. Peggy was the true hub of the home. As a beloved grandmother she spent countless hours teaching her 9 grandchildren family values, including putting a worm on a hook. Peggy is predeceased by her husband Ezra Daniel, son Troy Joe, grandson Jay Zarafonetis, brother Bill Bowles, and sister Doris Dickard. To cherish her memory are 2 sisters Francis Smith and Ann Ingram, sister-in-law Lela Bowles, children Claude Daniel Kemp and Janice Lynn Beshears, son-in-law Tex Beshears, daughter-in-law Betty Kemp, grandchildren Jeremy, Camie, Heather, Cody, Joshea, Payton, Danielle and Tye, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held for Peggy Saturday, March 18 at 3pm at Colorado City Cemetery. Funeral services entrusted to Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Those wishing may leave online condolences by visiting www.kikerseale.com
