She was born on August 14, 1932 in Roxton Texas to Dave and Darlene Wilbourn Scott.
Myrtle was a wonderful woman with a heart of gold who dedicated her life to being the best wife and mother that a family could have. She was the type of woman who believed it was only fair to treat others as she would want to be treated which is why she was willing to share everything that she had with those who needed it, and why she was always a dependable ear if someone just needed to talk. She also believed in hard work, using her passion for cooking not only at home but for her job as well. In her spare time Myrtle could be seen gardening, tending to her flowers or loving on one of many pets she had throughout the years. Her colorful spirit, warm heart, and open door will always live on for those that loved her.
Myrtle is survived by her son Charles Lawrence Edwards of Colorado City, her daughter Myrtle McGee of San Antonio, a sister Jessie Daniel and husband Lawrence of Lubbock, a niece Mary Smith of Colorado City, a great niece Zaria Smith of Colorado City, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Edwards Jr.
