Manuel Lopez Vallejo

Manuel Lopez Vallejo, age 79, longtime resident of Loraine, passed away February 18, 2013 at Mitchell County Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Thursday, February 21, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loraine with burial to follow in Loraine Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Manuel was born December 22, 1933 to Jesus and Andrea Jimenez. He married Anita Garcia on June 23, 1962 in Loraine. He was a longtime Guadalupano where he was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Loraine.He worked 46 years and retired from being a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Ector Lopez, and a sister, Delphinia Jimenez.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Anita Garcia Lopez; daughters, Maria Walker of Loraine, Teresa Bailey and Husband Rick of Loraine, Alicia Lopez of Loraine, Cristina Morris and husband Cory of Colorado City, Lydia Lopez of Loraine, and Beatrix Lopez of Loraine; sons, Manuel Lopez, Jr. and wife Rosa of Loraine, Freddy Lopez of Abilene, and David Lopez of Loraine. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sisters, Socorro Jimenez and Maria Lourdes of Mexico; and brother, Amado Jimenez of Mexico.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM with Rosary beginning at 7 Pm at Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
