She was born on March 1, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas to James and Willie Lanier Hill
Judy was a faithful Baptist woman who kept family as the center of her life. She was a wonderful wife, a great mother and an even better grandmother. She was the type of woman who would go out of her way for her family if they needed her and always made sure to keep in touch calling them each and every day, especially her sister who lived in Georgia. Some of her hobbies included fishing, reading, playing cards, bowling, and playing pool. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Judy is survived by her husband Jim Howell of Colorado City, daughter Jennifer Jenkins of Colorado City, step-son Rick Howell of Escalante Utah, and step-daughters Julie Ziegelgruber and husband Marvin of Whitehouse and Jada Lucero and husband George of Round Rock, grandson Jeffrey M. “Trey” Jenkins III, step grandchildren Dylan Stephens, and Brianna Stephens, Tyen Howell, Tristan Howell, Zach Ziegelgruber, Zane Ziegelgruber, Zade Ziegelgruber, and Jaden Giada Lucero, and by great-grandchildren Vada Milholen and Addie Howell. Also surviving are a brother Jacky Hill and wife Jane of Brenham and a sister Lana Harrelson and husband Ronnie of Newnan Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her son Jeffrey M. Jenkins Jr., step-grandson Karley Howell, by brothers Jim Hill, Bill Hill, Ray Hill, Jerry Hill, and Dennis Hill, and by a sister Sharon Pickard.
A funeral service for Judy will be held in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, November 15th at 3pm with interment to follow in the Colorado City Cemetery with Pastor James Williams officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1pm until the time of the service.
