He was born in Tye Texas on July 25, 1949 to Santos and Felecita Garcia Espinoza.
Joe Mary was a hard-working man who spent his life farming and working for the Loraine Water Department as its superintendent for many years. He was a simple man who enjoyed spending time with his family. For many years he would coach his grandchildren and great-grandchildren the game of baseball, no matter how busy his life got he always made time for them. As he got older one of his favorite things to do would be to walk down to the local convenient store to socialize with whomever came by, as friends came easy to him. Joe was known for his nicknames-whether you liked them or not and would give you his last dime if you needed it. Family came first to Joe, when he wasn’t raising his children he always had one or 2 that he was helping to raise. He will be best remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and uncle and will be dearly missed by those that he loved.
Joe Mary is survived by his wife of 56 years Ester Espinoza of Loraine, by a son Joe Espinoza Jr. and wife Angie of San Antonio, a daughter Ester Wright and husband Carl of Lubbock, by grandchildren Anthony Esquivel and wife Felicia of San Angelo, Alyssa Nicole Lidy and husband Dan of Cohutta Georgia, Kenny Esquivel and wife Elisa of San Angelo, Brandon Espinoza of San Antonio, Heather Marie Wright of Lubbock, and several step-granddaughters as well as by great-grandchildren Alairyc Cantu, Gregory Cantu, Allyson Esquivel, Michael Esquivel, Ezekiel Wright, Emily Esquivel, Zaid Wright, Averie Ray, Zachary Wright, Luke Esquivel, and Emmaline Lidy.
