Martin “Chief” Molina, 54, of Colorado City passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 4, 2015. He was born on May the 14, 1961 in Loraine, Texas the son of Jesus and Jesuita Cienega Molina.
Chief spent his entire life in the community, He played football in his young years even being named as an All-High-School player and earning a scholarship for his abilities. Those that knew Chief knew that he was a very outgoing, sociable, and funny man. One could say that if you didn’t know him you soon would because he didn’t let anything keep him from socializing with anyone, he even made sure to keep a supply of popsicles in his freezer for the children. Chief was a hard-worker, working in many positions in the oilfield, most recently as a roustabout.
Chief is survived by his daughter (his one true love) Kimberly Molina, by his siblings, Judy Molina of Colorado City, Mary Campbell of Colorado City, Ruth Ybarra of Odessa, Manuel (Mary ) Molina of Colorado City, Danny Molina of Odessa, Aurthur Molina of Odessa, Louis Molina and wife Brenda ofColorado City, and Raymond (Susie) Molina of Colorado City, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by 2 brothers Ruben and Juan Molina and a sister Alice Silva.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Colorado City on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10 am. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 6-8 pm with a Rosary at 7 pm at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery.
