Jackie Charles Corbell

Mr. Jackie Corbell, age 75, of Colorado City, died Sunday afternoon in a Midland hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday in the Colorado City Cemetery with Jerry Hestand officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Corbell was born September 22, 1937 in Snyder to Ruben and Dimple Hill Corbell and had been a long time resident of Mitchell County. He married Barbara Johnson in November, 1958 in Colorado City. She preceded him in death in October, 1998. He then married Glenda Morris Tarter. He was a Control Operator and Maintenance Engineer for Texas Electric for many years and was a Baptist.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Carla Merket of Colorado City and Becky and husband, Douglas Kirkland of Colorado City; a grandson, Caleb Merket of Lubbock; a sister, Charlene Hestand of Odessa; 2 brothers: Nathan Corbell and Berman Corbell, both of Georgetown.

He is also preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, Varlin Corbell and Jeston Corbell.

The family will receive friends 6-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
