Gloria Elsie Shaw

Gloria Elsie Shaw, 74, of Colorado City, TX passed away on November 22, 2014 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. A funeral service will be held at 22nd & Austin St. Church of Christ in Colorado City on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1:00pm with Royce Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.

Elsie was born in Dona Ana, New Mexico to L.C. and Clyda Mize on December 10, 1939. She graduated from Colorado High School in 1958. She was a homemaker.

Elsie is survived by her husband Curtis Shaw of Colorado City, her son Jon Shaw of Snyder, her parents of Colorado City, brother Darrell Mize and wife Linda, sister Pearlene Nolan and husband Dale all of Snyder, and daughter-in-law Paige Shaw also of Snyder. Grandchildren are Madison and Corbin Shaw, Kelsey Shaw Watts and husband Cole, Kailea Shaw, Brady Standefer and wife Christa, Laci Standefer, great granddaughter Hadley Standefer, and her nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is preceded in death by her son Todd Shaw, daughter Lana Shaw Culpepper, also daughter-in-law Debbie Shaw and son-in-law Bob Culpepper.

The family would like to thank the kindness shown by all medical staff at Baylor Medical Center as well as Dr. Dee Roach. Elsie, otherwise known as “Gram”, will remain in our hearts forever.
