Colorado City – Mr. Divinsio Vasquez, age 56, of Colorado City, died Monday morning, May 2, 2011, at his residence. Services will be at 2 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegnunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell County Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Vasquez was born November 26, 1954 in Charlotte, TX to Lorenzo and Antonia Martinez Vasquez and had been a lifelong resident of Colorado City. He married Mary Garza on February 5, 1972 in Colorado City. He was a carpenter and a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary Vasquez of Colorado City; a son, Divinsio Scottie Vasquez of Colorado City; 4 daughters: Tabitha Vasquez and husband, Roger, Rosie Vasquez and husband, Eddy, April and husband, Mike Lindsey and Amy and husband, Emilio Gutierrez, all of Colorado City; a sister, Lupe Santana of Colorado City, 3 brothers: Lorenzo Vasquez of Colorado City, Domingo Vasquez of Sweetwater and Paul Vasquez of Bryan, TX; 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his mother-in-law, Emilio Garza and many nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be said at 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
He is preceded in death by his mother, and a half brother, Timothy Tijerina.
