She was born in Midland, Texas on November 11, 1955 to Billy and Betty Ingram Riley.
Deborah was a woman who always made sure to put the two strongest loves of her life first and that was her God and her family. She was known to be one of the most positive introverts anybody would ever see, which is strong characteristic for a person humbled by the presence of Jesus and a strong faith in her life. Deborah was also known to be a very giving woman, whether you were needing something physical or words of encouragement, if she had it and was able to help you she was there. In her spare time Deborah loved to read (especially her Bible, Numbers 6:24-26 were her inspiration). She also loved to paint, learning to paint brilliant masterpieces with her left hand after losing use of her right hand. Deborah was a brave woman who fought the good fight armed with prayer and faith. Those that knew her knew she was a prayer warrior and a strong worshiper. She will be missed by all that knew her, especially her family whom she taught to follow in her footsteps.
Deborah is survived by her husband Robert Phariss of Colorado City, by her daughter Teri Phariss of Loraine, and by a son Chase Phariss and wife Paige of Ft. Worth and their first daughter Wells, with a second daughter on the way. She is also survived by her brothers William Riley and wife Tammera of Lawton Oklahoma and Tim Riley and wife Patricia of San Marcos, and by a sister Katherine Pena and husband Ignacio of Odessa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother Rocky Riley.
The family will hold a celebration of Deborah’s life at the Christian Fellowship Church of Colorado City on Sunday, November 27th at 4pm with Pastor Larry Chaney officiating. A feast will follow immediately after the celebration for all friends and family Burial will follow in the Monroe Cemetery in Nimrod on Monday, November 28th at 2pm.
