Beatrice “Bea” Rivera Madrid passed away at her home in Loraine, TX, on December 8, 2020 at the age of 64. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, December 12th with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow in the Loraine Cemetery under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Bea was born to Juan and Perfecta Rivera in Big Spring, TX on February 2,1956. She married the love of her life, Adan Madrid in Colorado City, Texas on July 28,1973. Bea earned her LVN degree in Nursing in 1977 from TSTC then went on to earn her RN form TSTC in 2000. She worked as a compassionate nurse for almost 43 years. She was currently employed as a Unit Manager of Clinical Operations for Blue Cross Blue Shield in Abilene, TX. Nursing was her calling, but her true passion was her Catholic faith, her family and home life, her mother “Mama”, and her grandchildren whom she all loved dearly.
Bea is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Adan Madrid; her children, David and Cynthia Madrid of Pflugerville, TX, Adam and Coral Madrid of Snyder, TX, and Christopher James “CJ” and Nallely Madrid of Loraine, TX. Bea is lovingly remembered by her mother Perfecta “Mama” Rivera; her grandchildren, Ashley Renea Guerrero, Edward Toby Garza, Timothy Justin Garza, Claudia Elise Madrid, Naomi Garcia, Reagan Danielle Madrid, Beatrice E. Madrid, Matthew Clark, Shelby Cooney, Jaime, Dora, Juanito Madrid, as well as ten great grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters; Irene and Manuel Diaz of Abilene, TX, Edward “Eddie” and Sylvia Rivera of Weatherford, TX, Armando Rivera of Colorado City, TX, Albert Rivera of Pflugerville, TX, Ray and Debra Rivera of Colorado City, TX and numerous nieces and nephews are also left to cherish her memories.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her father, Juan Rivera; father-in-law Marciano Sepeda Madrid and mother-in-law Petra Pineda Madrid; and two brothers, Cosme Juan “Jumbo” Rivera and Danny “Chulo” Rivera.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 6-8 PM with a rosary beginning at 7 PM in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in memory of Bea to Saint Ann's Catholic Church, 2005 Walnut St., Colorado City, TX 79512
