He was born in Dilley Texas on January 28, 1952 to Miguel and Estella Gandara Zuniga.
Arthur was a man of strong faith in his Lord, with an unwavering love for family and a great work ethic. He was a life member of Christian Fellowship Church of Colorado City who stayed humble and true in his daily devotion to the Father. He was also a man with many talents which took him across many job opportunities, starting on the windmills as a teenager, moving to driving truck in the oil fields, then to the sanitation department until he retired. In his spare time he enjoyed socializing with new people, as he never knew a stranger. Once he got to know you, you soon found out he was quick-witted, often cracking a good one before you knew it was coming. When he wasn’t working on something he could be found relaxing watching pro wrestling or reminiscing telling stories, especially about his travels over the years and about things from when he was growing up.
Arthur is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jennifer Zuniga who he married on September 24, 1988, by 2 sons Arthur Zuniga Jr and wife Julie of Charlotte Tx and Andrew Zuniga of Jourdanton, and by a grandson Justin Zuniga. Also surviving are his brothers Mike Zuniga Jr and wife Cynthia, Richard Zuniga and wife Norma, and Jorge Zuniga and wife Rachel all of Charlotte. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends are also left to cherish in his memory.
A memorial service for Arthur will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home chapel at 10 am with Pastor Larry Chaney officiating.
In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in his memory to the Kidney foundation.
