He was born in Leming Texas on June 27, 1956 to Jose Maria and Eulalia Ramos Salazar.
Tony was a good man who loved his family with all his heart. His life as a cotton farmer revolved around providing the best he could for his family while giving them a good Christian upbringing. He was a good husband and father and loved his wife and kids, but his grandchildren were the apple of his eye. Tony who was affectionately referred to as “Tony Bologna” by those who loved him was a jokester with a witty sense of humor. His life as a farmer made him a natural green thumb and animal lover. He loved all his dogs but was especially attached to his German Shepherds. In his spare time he enjoyed dancing, barbequing, growing his peppers and tomatoes as well as other various vegetables and plants, and caring for many animals. His soft grin and easy going attitude will be remembered fondly by those he cherished the most.
Tony is survived by his wife Frances Salazar of Colorado City, by his son Antonio Salazar Jr and wife Amanda of Colorado City, by his daughters Connie Garcia of Colorado City, Sophia Hinijosa and husband Rick of Grand Prarie, and Olivia DeLapaz of Abilene as well as by 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters Adelita Sosa and husband Antonio of Colorado City, Janie Arguijo of Colorado City, Anita Limones of Colorado City, and Sophia Sosa of Colorado City, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brothers Lupe Salazar, Dimencio Salazar, Carlos Salazar, and Joe Salazar.
