Mario Leo Lombardi

Mario Leo Lombardi was born to Ida and Pasquale Lombardi on December 3rd 1912. He had a sister Norma and two brothers Leo and Albert. Mario graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco and was trained as a butcher. He married Jane Stefani on March 1, 1945. Mario and Jane raised their 3 children David, Stefanie, and Linda in San Carlos, California. During retirement Mario and Jane traveled extensively. Jane passed away in 2009 and Mario kept her always in his heart. Mario raised prolific gardens and took pride in his growing, canning, drying, freezing, pickling, curing, and smoking skills. He had two great son-in-laws Jim and Antxon and he treasured his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mario passed away on March 1st 2017 which would have been Mario and Jane’s 72nd wedding anniversary. He was 104 years old.

Graveside services for Mario will be held at the Italian Cemetery in San Francisco, CA. Local arrangements are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.

Memorials may be given in Mario’s name to the St. Edwards Soup Kitchen, c/o St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 212 7th Ave. East, Twin Falls, ID 83301.
