Rita Theresa Fiore

Rita Fiore (Merriman), 89, of Westmont, NJ passed away on March 24th, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Fiore. Loving mother of Joseph Jr. (Janet), Thomas (Carol), and daughter Angeline (Mike) Vermandel. Predeceased by son, Michael (Terry). Grandmom of 11 and great grandmom to 17. Dear sister of Bernadette Moore and the late Thomas Merriman.

Rita grew up in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. While on vacation in Wildwood, she met the love of her life, Joe Fiore. They married, moved to Westmont and raised their four children. She worked in banking for many years, starting out at People’s Bank in Westmont.

Rita was an avid Phillies fan and never missed a chance to watch a game. She loved the jersey shore but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Holy Savior in Haddon Township, NJ, on Friday, March 28th, at 10 AM. A funeral mass will begin at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
