With great sadness, we announce the passing of Linda Miller on January 21, 2024, at the age of 63. The youngest child of Stanley Kowalski and Anna Rita Dudiak, Linda was born in New Jersey in January 1962 and spent most of her life there. She was, in many ways, a true Jersey girl—proudly recalling the early days of Bruce Springsteen’s career, as well as the unforgettable moment when she met her musical idol and Clarence Clemons at a bar in her youth.
Despite facing health challenges over the years, Linda had a strong and vibrant optimism. She always believed things would turn out for the best and made friends wherever she went. She had a gift for conversation, forming connections with her neighbors and community. Most recently, she enjoyed working at Wawa, where she loved getting to know her customers and cherished the camaraderie of her coworkers.
Linda loved Bruce, the ocean, watching marathons of Law & Order, and, most of all, her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Cindi Cicchelli; her children, Joshua Markman and Dakota Miller; and her grandchildren, Zachary, Edison, and Dakwon.
The family will hold a small memorial gathering in Asbury Park, NJ, to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cooper Foundation, supporting Cooper University Health Care, where Linda received compassionate treatment over the years.
