Mr. Frederick George Bocchino

Frederick “Rick”, of Mullica Hill, NJ, on June 28, 2023. Age 77. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on June 12, 1946. Beloved husband of Diane (nee Amey). Predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Virginia Bocchino. Devoted father of Megan (Russ) Winsett, Kristin (Michael) Fay, Ryan (Megan) Bocchino and Brittany Stewart-Bocchino. Loving grandfather of Jack and Sam Winsett, Ryan, Daniel and Owen Fay, Rylee and Leo Bocchino and Hayes Stewart-Whyte. Dear brother of David (Mary) Bocchino. Also survived by his many nieces, nephews and their children.

After graduating from Collingswood High School in 1964, Rick continued his education at West Chester State College, earning a degree in Education. Rick taught at Cherry Hill East High School until his retirement. While teaching at Cherry Hill East, he started a lawn service, “The Turf Pro” and hired many of his students during the summer months.

Rick loved baseball and played from Little League to Babe Ruth, and Garden State. He also played baseball and football at Collingswood High School. In 2012, Rick was inducted into the CHS Athlete Hall of Fame. Rick also was an avid golfer and loved spending time on the green.

Rick was loved by many and will surely be missed by all.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 W Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ 08108. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at Blake-Doyle Funeral Home. Interment at New Saint Mary Cemetery, 515 Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
