Age 54 of Collingswood, NJ

Formerly of Richboro, PA went home to be with her Lord on June 9, 2012.

Barbara’s pride and joy were her husband Kurt and son Jeffrey.

In addition, there were many special people in her life who she cherished: her father, Allen Beans, Richboro, PA; mother, Nancy Weaks Beans, Solebury PA; sisters, Pattie (Bill) Clark, Solebury; Beverly (James) Meagher, Newark Valley, NY; mother-in-law, Diane Herrman, Magnolia NJ; brother-in-law, Carey (Karen) Herrman, Mt. Ephraim, NJ;

numerous nieces and nephews; dear friends Mike and Nancy Stasko.

She was devoted to learning, excelling in her studies at Council Rock H.S.,

Susquehanna University (Summa Cum Laude) and University of Virginia Law School.

Her legal career culminated at Colonial Penn Insurance Company as Vice President and General Counsel.

Those close to Barbara were inspired by her courage as she faced a 20-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Never complaining, always graceful, Barbara’s thoughts were for others rather than herself.

Her giving nature inspired her involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Collingswood Public Library.

Funeral Gathering Wednesday at Noon in the Blake-Doyle Funeral Home, 226 West Collings Avenue, Collingswood, NJ. Memorial Services at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to

the Collingswood Public Library or The Multiple Sclerosis Society.
