He graduated Catholic High School and then attended Memphis State University. Mr. Emerson went on to work for McKesson Pharmaceutical for 32 years. He was an avid bird hunter, he loved turkey and duck hunting and was an excellent caller. When he wasn’t hunting, he was playing golf at Windyke Country Club or Irene Country Club; where he met many great friends. When he finished these hobbies, you could find him with his friends at Jim’s Place. He loved his workouts at Life Time Fitness, where he worked out up to a year before his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Denise; an older brother Edwin and sister Pat.
He leaves his sons, Mike Jr. of Welaka, Florida and Scott of Collierville, Tennessee; two sisters, Beverly and Dorothy; a brother, Jack and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday November 9, 2023 beginning at 5 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.; all at Collierville Funeral Home, 3863 Bailey Station Road, Collierville, Tennessee 38017.
