Stanley Lamar White, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Baptist East in Memphis, TN. He was born on August 21, 1940 to the late Lamar and Earline White in Memphis, TN. Stanley was a 1961 Graduate of Collierville High School. He was a strong figure in the Collierville Community serving 23 years as Sheriff Deputy for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, 2 years Operations Manager at Shelby County Correction Center, and he was a longtime member of Kirk Baptist Church. Stanley was awarded Sheriff’s Deputy of the Year in 1980. He was known mostly for his award winning restorations of antique automobiles and tractors. Stanley was the first person many people called on when facing life difficulties. He was a lifelong fan of University of Memphis Football and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Earline White. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa White; son, William S. White (Maria); sister, Sherry White, and his brother, Carl White (Lisa). Stanley also leaves behind two grandchildren, Chelsea White and Andy White; a nephew, Chris White; a grandniece, Bailee White; a grandnephew, Carson White. In Lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Kirk Baptist Church, 6365 Raleigh- Lagrange Dr. Collierville, TN 38017. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at Collierville Funeral Home, 534 W Poplar Ave Collierville, TN 38017.
