Ronald “Ronnie” Hamner Gwaltney, 55, surrounded by his loving family was peacefully called home Friday, June 17, 2016. Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Collierville, TN, a Navy veteran and a dedicated patron to C.K.’s coffee shop. He was a Beloved father, son, brother and friend to many, enemy to none. He had a passion for AA and spoke on their behalf often to advocate their message and support. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Gwaltney and grandparents, Mom and Pete Hamner. He is survived by his son, Austin Gwaltney, (Shelbi); father, Chuck Gwaltney; sister, Pam Lawrence (Mark); and brother, Tim Gwaltney (Julie). His family will receive guest Monday, June 20th from 12 to 2 pm with funeral service beginning at 2 pm at Fisherville First Baptist Church, 11893 Macon Rd., Eads, TN 38028. Burial will follow in Fisherville Baptist Church Cemetery. Any memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to The Wounded Warriors Veterans Project.
