Growing up, he spent many summers in Scotland with relatives because of the bombing taking place near his hometown.
Traveling on a merchant ship that had carried US troops to Europe during WWII, Bob and his parents arrived in New York on November 7, 1947.
Bob graduated from Florida State University in Tallahassee the summer of 1957 with a degree in Business/Accounting. It was during his time at FSU that he became a US Citizen.
He worked as an accountant at various companies and was an internal auditor for a national gas company. He did product photography, weddings, and even took photographs for a local modeling school. He was working full time in the payroll department at Auto Zone, but retired in 1999 to pursue photography full time.
Photography was one of Bob's passions. According to Bob, photography became not only his passion, but his ministry to others. Sharing his talent of photography with family and his church brought him great joy. Through his photography, Bob also brought great joy to others. He took photos of family, friends, Sunday School Classes and choirs. He and Johnie traveled together to places like Hawaii, Europe, Canada, Mexico, along with several trips to the Western US.
