Robert ‘Bob’ Warren Gilbert, 77, of Germantown, TN passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Bob was born in Detroit, MI to Harold H. and Helen L. Gilbert on March 6, 1944. He attended The University of Southern California on a swimming scholarship and received his Bachelors in Advertising. Bob is a U.S. Army Veteran and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was also a rifle sharpshooter. He worked as an advertising executive for J. Walter Thompson for a number of years. Bob had a love for classic cars, Harleys, and telling great stories.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen. He is survived by his daughters Shelby Butterfield (Jake) and Shay Gilbert; and his grandsons, Jackson Butterfield and Jonah Butterfield.
Bob will be laid to rest at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
